The NAPCRG International Committee awarded three prizes to the best completed primary care research presented during the 2023 NAPCRG Annual Meeting:
- Shoba Dawson, PhD, will present "Prescription medication sharing for non-recreational purposes: A systematic review of the literature" at the Dutch College of General Practice meeting in September 2024.
- Alicia Agnoli, MD, MHS, MPH, will present "Mortality risk associated with dose tapering among patients prescribed long-term opioid therapy" at the Society for Academic Primary Care meeting in July 2024.
- Professor Hazel Everitt will present "Amitriptyline at Low-dose and Titrated for Irritable Bowel Syndrome in Primary Care: ATLANTIS: Randomised Controlled Trial" at the Australasian Association for Academic Primary Care meeting in August 2024.
The 2023 International Plenary was held during the NAPCRG Annual Meeting and featured the three awardees from our reciprocal partner organizations:
- Dr. Carla Bernardo, Australasian Association for Academic Primary Care (AAAPC): "Physical and psychological trauma resulting from motor vehicle accidents managed in general practice: a mixed-methods study"
